Commissioning work has begun on the main and auxiliary equipment of the solid waste incineration plant in Vilnius, Republic of Lithuania.
In May 2020, our specialists began commissioning work on the main and auxiliary equipment of the power plant for incineration of solid waste in Vilnius, Republic of Lithuania. The construction of such complex will ensure the disposal of household waste after the sorting line, which was put into operation 6 years ago, to which garbage is brought from Vilnius and its environs. Burning garbage will provide heat for heating homes and hot water for city residents. The plant will produce 17.6 MW of electricity and more than 70 MW of heat.
Ecological priority was taken into account when choosing future equipment. Equipment that emits the least amount of pollutants has been selected to ensure maximum environmental protection.
This is not the first facility built in Lithuania for waste disposal. A month ago, with the participation of our specialists, a waste incineration plant was put into operation in the city of Kaunas, about 100 km from the Lithuanian capital. http://ecopower-eu.com/en/construction-of-a-waste-to-energy-combined-heat-and-power-chp-plant-in-kaunas-lithuania-/
