The start-up and commissioning works on the thermomechanical equipment of K-4 boiler under construction at Northern CHP of "VKG Energia" OÜ in Kohtla-Järve, Republic of Estonia are in progress. 03.11.2017

On June 20, 2017, boiler Е-135-3,2-420 DG No. 4 was tested for steam tightness and the actuation of safety valves was checked in accordance with the approved work program.

From October 20 to October 23, 2017, the steam blowdown of the superheater of the above-mentioned boiler and the main steam line from it was carried out. The steam blowdown quality was checked with the “mirror” target plates. The control blowdown results showed that the works performed were of proper quality, and then a permit was received from the Employer "VKG Energia" OÜ to connect the steam line from boiler No. 4 to the common steam header.

Thus, from November 1, 2017, new boiler Е-135-3,2-420 DG started its operation for the process needs of the Employer "VKG Energia" OÜ.

As of today, the performance adjustment works are under way, and after their completion it is planned to carry out a trial run and hand the facility over to the Employer for operation.
