The start-up and commissioning works at CHP II in Tallinn
The specialists of "ECOPOWER" LLC are carrying out the start-up and commissioning works at CHP II in Tallinn, Republic of Estonia.
The CHP equipment is designed to produce electricity (21.4 MW) and heat (76 MW). The main equipment of the power unit includes three steam boilers manufactured by Renewa with reciprocating grate furnaces manufactured by Axis Industries, and a steam turbine manufactured by MAN Turbo. The main fuel is wood chips or a 85% wood chips/ 15% peat mixture.
As of today, the functional and guarantee performance tests have been completed at the facility. The guaranteed values of electric and heat power have been reached. The efficiency of the boilers and the power unit as a whole will soon be recalculated based on the fuel and ash analyses using an indirect method.
