Lviv residents are modernizing energy systems of Ukraine with the help of Europeans
The newest ways to save heat and natural resources have been introduced in Lviv for more than ten years. Ukrainian enterprise reported on the experience of working with Europeans.
“European loans and grants are opened for us after we embarked on a course of European integration,” - said Victor Pilat, head of Ecopower. “These funds will be used to increase efficiency of energy facilities, to build new boiler houses and CHPs using local fuels.”
Employees of the company have acquired new technologies during practical training in Europe. The help of Europeans allowed creating new workplaces and offering a job of the European level in Ukraine.
“We choose heating units that will be installed in houses. This will give heating savings, and people will pay less, - mechanic Mykhailo Zubyk tells about his work. - It is time when one can work at home and perform works as in Europe. And the salary is high, so you should not go to Europe anymore.”
“We throw away the old system completely and install a new one in urban houses. We insulate all the pipes, everything will be modern,” - said electric welder Ruslan Protsak, who had had practical training in Lithuania for several months. - We made a business trip for practical training to Europe to learn this. We began working here after practical training.”
The strategy of Lviv enterprise is to assist citizens in saving and improving energy efficiency.
“It is necessary to switch from combustion of gas, from those boiler houses that are now in regional centres, to combustion of local fuels. It is also necessary to build electric power plants or water boilers, - said Victor Pilat, head of Ecopower. “I plan to promote this strategy of ensuring the energy independence of our country.”
