Lviv experts are launching an incineration plant in the capital of Lithuania

Ukrainian company with Lviv registration helps to solve problems of waste recycling in Europe. Lviv entrepreneur and expert in the field of energy Victor Pilat informed about the implementation of such project in the capital of Lithuania. 

“We are actively involved in the project implementation in Vilnius. This is construction of a large incineration plant,” said Victor Pilat, head of Ecopower. “This is the complex that fully provides Vilnius with heat and electricity.”
 
Garbage is one of the most acute problems for Lviv. The city council is studying European experience of handling the household waste. The Lviv company Ecopower is already installing individual heating units in high-rise buildings in Sykhiv. This equipment allows saving energy and reducing harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
 
“The goal of urban housing and utility infrastructure modernization projects with the help of IHU — individual heating units — is to reduce thermal energy consumption and increase the energy efficiency of each apartment block,” said Vadym Nozdria, director of the Green City Lviv utility enterprise. 
 
The city council is also studying the experience of efficient use of household waste.  “We are talking about the use of resource - the caloric fraction of household waste as an alternative fuel,” said Vadym Nozdria, director of the Green City Lviv utility enterprise. - We see the system development of household waste management, recycling and disposal in neighbouring countries. We have perspectives for growth. The main thing is to start.
 
Lviv specialists with European experience are also ready to help the city to overcome the garbage problem. A considerable hindrance is the legislation imperfection.

"I have partners who agree to invest millions of dollars in Ukraine. Who can build a similar power station here. Who can solve the problem of garbage, who can help to reduce tariffs and transit to local fuels, - said Victor Pilat, head of Ecopower. “But we still have not adopted a law that allows to work according to European standards.”

Old laws, Soviet norms and incomprehensible demands - these factors are alarming European investors in Ukraine. Meanwhile, our specialists have to solve the garbage problems of Europeans, not Ukrainians.
