Lviv citizens help Lithuanians to modernize energy systems

Lviv company helps Lithuanians to modernize local power system. Obsolete Soviet power facilities in Lithuania are being replaced by European СHPs. 

Such modernization allows using energy resources more efficiently, introducing transparent public utility tariffs. 
 “I have experience of working in the Baltic countries, where everything is transparent during formation of utility tariffs,” explains Victor Pilat, head of Ecopower. - Each person can see how the price for heat and electricity was formed on the website. The purchase of fuel, the profit of utility enterprises, the cost of their modernization are available.”

Refusal of expensive gas, switching to local fuels, saving and energy efficiency - this is what Lithuania wants. Victor Pilat claims that Ukraine can use this experience. 

European technologies are beginning to be introduced in Ukrainian cities. Ecopower installs individual heating units in Lviv at the expense of Europeans.

“IHU - individual heating units - have the goal of reducing the consumption of thermal energy, increasing the energy efficiency of each apartment block”, says Vadym Nozdria, director of the Green City Lviv utility enterprise. - Emissions reduction is also very important aspect. That is why European funds allocate such financing.”
It is necessary to improve legislation in order to modernize Ukrainian energy systems faster.

“To take such steps, which are made by our neighbours, it is necessary to create a legislative base firstly,” explains Victor Pilat, head of Ecopower. - There were no specialists who clearly understood all the tasks that need to be done in the country's energy sector in previous parliaments.

Europeans are ready to invest considerable funds in the modernization of heat power facilities in Ukrainian cities. However, they are restrained by bureaucratic hurdles and outdated legislation, - concludes head of Lviv company.
