“ECOPOWER GROUP” LLC participates in the implementation of a project to eliminate the consequences of hostilities and restore the process of providing heat supply services in the city of Okhtyrka, Sumy region.
More than 8,400 customers used to receive heat and hot water from the Okhtyrka CHP plant before it was destroyed by Russian bombs in early March. In addition to the residential sector, the CHP used to serve 67 public and more than 150 private organizations. The first air strike on the Okhtyrka CHP plant was carried out by the Russian military on 28 February, followed by three more with an interval of several days.
The project provides for a set of works on the erection and putting into operation of a heat generating facility (boiler house) with a total capacity of 40 MW. The boiler house will operate on an alternative type of fuel – wood chips. The choice of this type of fuel will contribute to energy independence and in the future may lead to the reduced heat supply tariffs in the city of Okhtyrka.
Currently, the specialists of “ECOPOWER GROUP” LLC are supervising the installation of the boiler house equipment. After the construction and installation work has been completed, the start-up and commissioning will be carried out and the facility will be put into operation.
