5 MW hot water boiler house in Vilnius

The specialists of "ECOPOWER" LLC have completed the start-up and commissioning works on the equipment of the 5 MW hot water boiler house of AB "Vilniaus baldai" in Vilnius.

AB "Vilniaus baldai" has 600 professional furniture manufacturers who continue the 130+ year old history of successful growth, and specialises in the production of light storage flat-pack furniture. Using innovative technologies, they use a 3D imitation of a wooden structure to create natural wood finishing with a wide variety of colours. Their products are sold in Europe, Asia, USA, and Australia.

The 5 MW hot water boiler house of AB "Vilniaus baldai" is designed to burn wood fuel (sawdust – waste product of the enterprise).

The final stage of work was the trial run of the 5 MW boiler manufactured by "Uniconfort" and auxiliary equipment of the hot water boiler plant for 72 hours of continuous operation of the boiler plant according to the demand of the DH networks, which was carried out from 06 to 09 February 2018.

AB "Vilniaus baldai" and AB "Vilniaus šilumos tinklai" have signed a preliminary heat sale and purchase agreement.

In accordance with this agreement, the company undertakes to supply the contracted capacity and quality heat to Vilnius city consumers from February 2018. The company will produce heat in 2018.

Altogether, AB "Vilniaus baldai" has invested more than EUR 1.5 million into this heat production and supply project.
